Alsara: Requiem and Revolution
Viscountess Geneva Adler
The wife of Felix Adler, Geneva has served as his moral center, bringer of common sense, and occasional political agent for the many years of their marriage. When fleeing the rebellion of Brakenvald it was very likely she was to meet an unfortunate end, but the Protagonists chose to intervene, and she survived the encounter alongside her husband and their daughter. She has remained with them ever since, and has come to trust them more than her fool of a husband.
Felix and Geneva were married a few months after Felix was knighted. They were both very young: he was only eighteen, and she seventeen. They spent many years together, as Felix ran the tourney circuit in hopes of attracting the attention of a greater patron. During that time there is little to be said of Geneva: she was a wife, eventually a mother. The lot of the Imperial woman does not offer much opportunity to achieve greatness.
The Neverwar changed Felix’s life, at least. Geneva remained home with their four-year-old daughter, Hannalore, while her husband marched off to war. He returned with a limp and an officer’s commission, eventually landing the duty of Viscount. As a Viscountess, Geneva was somewhat unprepared; fortunately, there was little high society in Brakenvald when they arrived to take command of the city, and there was none when they left it. Demands on her and her daughter were few.
