Monk Weapons

Aturan Monk Weapons

Aturan Monks are different from Barbarian Monks for a number of reasons. First, their art form is much newer, and while it is often just as disciplined it does not have the weight of hundreds of years of tradition teaching steady mind; quite the opposite, in fact, as it was developed by gangs. Second, it is primarily practiced in secret, leaving practitioners no easy refuge and center of learning, like a Dojo, to allow them to pool their knowledge and gain respect in their community. Third, and most importantly, weapons are forbidden in nearly all Aturan cities, where the Aturan martial arts are practiced. As such, all of the weapons that an Aturan Monk is trained in can either be easily hidden, or is not designed to be a weapon. The exception to this is the Scimitar, Nine-Ring Braodsword, and Falchion, all of which are used so commonly by the Aturan guards that Monks are encouraged to train with them if they must fight back, or if they can steal a sword of their own.

Thus, they have a different set of weapons that agree with their fighting style. Instead of the normal Monk weapon list, Aturan Monks can use Ki strikes and Flurry of Blows with the following weapons:
